Welcome to the adventure capital of Colorado! There are more than enough activities and adventures in the Glenwood Springs area to keep you busy for several days. In fact, we’re pretty sure you’ll run out of time before you run out of things to do! With a multitude of activities right on site and even more just a few short miles away, Glenwood Canyon Resort is the perfect place to set up your adventure base camp!
Located in the spectacular Glenwood Canyon with the mighty Colorado River running right through our property, we have the perfect setting to enjoy your adventures! At the Adventure Center located right on site, you’ll find whitewater raft trips, kayaking, and boat rentals! We have our own private take out for those staying with us and bringing their own river toys. The Glenwood Canyon Recreational Trail runs right next to our resort where you can hop on for an easy bike ride or your morning jog. No Name is know for some amazing and challenging rock climbing. Enjoy a fabulous hike on the Jess Weaver Trail (No Name Trail) just steps away from our entryway. A few miles down I-70 you’ll find the most popular hike in all of Colorado, Hanging Lake Trail, that will test your endurance but surely be worth the climb!
In and around nearby Glenwood Springs, opportunities for adventure seem endless! The Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park has an amusement type setting for all day fun. The Fairy Caves offer an opportunity to go below ground for some spectacular scenery as well. Kids love the Hot Springs Pool for tons of water fun while parents love the sun and relaxing atmosphere. Fairly new on the scene is Iron Mountain Hot Springs where you’ll have a choice of several pools to choose from. Try a massage at the Yampah Spa and Vapor Caves or Mountain Splendor Spa for a more relaxing activity. With golf courses, fly fishing, horseback riding, hand gliding, ATVs, shopping, sight seeing, caving, rock climbing, biking and a multitude of hiking trails, the options truly do seem endless.
If time allows, consider visiting one of our nearby towns. How about a visit to nearby Rifle where the clean, clear waters of Rifle Gap reservoir provide some of the best boating, fishing, swimming, water-skiing and windsurfing in Colorado. Don’t forget Rifle Falls for some of the best rock climbing in the state as well. And remember, we’re midway between Aspen and Vail where the summer sights (Maroon Bells, Independence Pass, Beaver Creek) and activities continue and the winter fun never ends!
