Sunlight Mountain opened for business in 1966 with one chairlift and a handful of trails. Today, Sunlight packs a mountain of fun all year round with hundreds of acres for skiing and snowboarding, snowmobiling, mountain nature walks, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, horseback riding, mountain biking and more.
This affordable resort offers acres of mild greens, intermediate slopes, black diamonds and extreme runs for all levels of abilities. Short lift lines and a laid back attitude make this resort fun and enjoyable for all who visit. 
The summit of Sunlight is situated on Compass Mountain and enjoys beautiful vistas of Mount Sopris and the Elk Mountain Range. Annual snowfall for Sunlight Mountain is around 250 inches.
